Replacement remotes would be the obvious choice, but they are $150 ish each, and i would need two.

Hacking/re-purposing a Samsung HM1100/HM1800 to trip the internal garage door switch.
I followed the instructions provided, and with in an hour from starting, i had it all together, and in place and functioning.
It is as simple as it looks...
Ebay for the HM1800
Jaycar for the transistor/resistor
total cost... less than $50...
now the wife is happy.
P.s. Its android only...

Apple don't allow the full functionality of the Bluetooth module on the iPhone...
