Kiwi Challenge clean up

Post by skid »

after the Kiwi challenge at Queens Birthday Weekend the main access track from the hut up to the road ('ladies mile') has turned into quite a difficult track to get up due to rather large ruts forming on some parts of it due to a high amount of traffic

we are planning on heading in there this sunday to try and tidy it up and remove the ruts

mudnutz has kindly offered to take his baby dancing digger up so we can let him loose on the track below hamburger hill whilst those of us with hand tools will attack the bit just behind the hut

departing at 9.30am at the corner of Moonshine and Haywards Hill road

so if you got nothing better to do and feel like a bit of exercise this sunday then feel free to join us

thanks to the wellington play days crew for allowing us to crash your weekend to clean the track up :D
although its not so good when we have to clean up after you :x

no before pics as we just got straight into it, and no pics of the stuff we did by hand coz it just doesnt compare to what the digger did

Its sad to hear you had to clean up after the play day... serves me right i spose, first one where I haven't stayed on to clean up myself at the end...

Can you expand a little on what the damage was?
