road tires to muds

Post by silveradoman »

For rallywoods on queens bday i swaped out my road tires and alloys for
a set of mudzillas 35/12/15 on steelies.
driving it took some can do attitude, like if it gets realy bad steering shake at 50-59kmph relax til ya get through ta 60-100 and its smooth as.just stay away from 50k zones.
So i left them on for the week to see just how much xtra gas the truck went through.driven it just the same.

conclusion the 94 vx landcruiser 4.5l petrol gets 360km from a tank. with mudzillas 290km. 70k off each fill. dam

Get them balanced. That will sort out the majority of the shakes.

What size are your road tyres?

You may end up with 500g of weights on each wheel but it will make a huge difference!

trying to balance mudzillas is tough work, it can be done but takes alot of weight, first rut you normally hit can take alot of the weights off, i wouldnt balance them just sit at 55 you'll be sweet
