Stolen SWB Safari (Browns Bay) Auckland [Details Up]

Post by lincooln »

Hi all

My cousins SWB safari was stolen wednesday night from Browns Bay. He usually lives out west near Woodhill, so some locals may have seen it.

reg number is UW7521

it is a Black/grey colour, has been modded, no pictures at this stage. He has spent quite a lot of money on it. Has no insurance as he was awaiting certification for the mods.

Please if you see it let me know or the cops know.

Cheers

Sucks that it was stolen, but for any one else that might be doing any mods you can get insurance if you don't have cert.

Sorry i know this is not quite the place but i too cannot get insurance as it has no cert yet, it is going to take a few months to get it up to cert standards so have a few nail biting months ahead.

this is pretty gay dude, as far as cert, AA insurance didn't need one. obviously you wouldn't be covered if you were driving round on the road with it.

You can ring around and find one that will, Nac insured me for theft on a car with no reg or wof and Clic insured me with no cert they even put it in writing that they would pay out for theft no matter what.

This Safari belonged to me. Iv found the f@#k who stole it! They parted my truck out and used all the bits in a long wheel base high roof safari and tried to sell it on trademe. I recognised all my custom work straight away and also had my serial numbers to verify the parts. Police are currently writing up there report and im waiting for the outcome as to what i will get out of it and his chargers etc some other parts have been sold seperately and they will be tracked down.
Word of advice to any one modifying there own trucks. Take photos of everything you do and keep a record of all your serial numbers otherwise the police will not help you at all.

Awesome that you've found the parts mate! Better to get some back instead of none!!! GPS Trackers are cheap and good 'personal' insurance. Just hide it well!!!

Fark yeah! Good to hear man now hopefully it doesn't just fizzle out and they throw the book at the bastard!

Was it the black one on TM that had been pink stickered?

I think that would be best kept private- at least until police have done their part.

Good stuff for tracking your bits down! Bet its small recompense tho :?

Still waiting for the outcome but when the police have finished ill name and shame him. He has a couple of TM users. When I was researching him I found hed been buying other car shells aswell so hopefully it goes back further and alot of other people can get something out of it as well. It wasnt the 1 that was pink stickered. Definitely dosent come close to just having my truck back that id put so much into. Ill definitely be putting in a gps in my next build.
