Hi Callum
Just out of interest why the non turbo preference?

I have driven a 70 series non turbo and compared it to my 80series turbo (both manuals)and it was was very hard to be keen on the non turbo.

considering i saw a 94 in kaitaia go for 9k with 100thou less ks i think thTs a bit overpriced. The only reason i didnt buy was the distance involved to get home. Bit of a bugger really

I thought it was way over priced my self just put it out there. Seems a lot of coin for high K's . I do like the vx cruiser but I don't like the full time 4wd part.

There are part time 4WD adapters available if you want to get rid of the full time setup.

yeah i agree with that. Price is very high for what your buying in alot of cases. I dont mind a 4 door lwb patrol. But put off by the rust factor and smaller cabin size but maybe its the way ill haveto go. Anyone got anything to say bout patrols ts make me change my mind?

is it really worth going for cheap suspension components that are likely to need replaced anyway?

will have some shortly. Got an intake gasket set and tappet cover gasket coming also. Has been blowing a bit of smoke so since i cant afford a rebuild i have bought injector tips and will get em fitted by someone that knows how to shim them. Also gunna fit a catchcan to see how much blowby ive got. Valve seals or turbo could b an issue too. But a fair bitv oil in intake after breather
