bleeding brakes help

Post by new2zukes »

hi all, I've just recently taken the front end apart and needed to disconnect the brakes and now i can't seem to bleed them up properly. I've bled these brakes many of times before in the same way that I've always done it ( 1 man bleeding with a hose and a bottle of fluid that it goes in) I've bled the master cylinder seperatly just in case and still the brake peddle is spongy, its only spongy about 3 pushes then it goes solid and the peddle stays that way so i can't see that there is a leak. my front brake line runs over my firewall and arcs above the master cylinder would this affect the bleeding process, even though I've successfully bled the brakes like this many times before. anyway thats enough typing hope someone can help me.
thanks.

determine where the issue is, clamp of each rubber line and see if the pedal improves, then go left and right, you can narrow down where the issue is, also did you remove the brake pads or fit new ones, if the disk is worn then the pads could be twisting when applying pressure, a good run thru a mud bog will bed them in......
