GQ Safari SWB Roof chop down

Post by TommyGQ »

Hi I am chopping my 1989 GQ Safari SWB to a bobtail I have seen a few different styles of doing it .
I am looking for pictures and plans or ways of doing this or just a direction to take .
Thanks Tommy

Why bob tail it? It would be more advantageous and about the same ammount of work to move the axle an guards back extending the wheel base on a swb patrol, and it would look cooler.

thanks mate sorry not bobtailing just want to chop it down to a Ute . something like you have shown me or some thing like this . this is because of bad rust issues on the back windows up top. And this is one of my forestry work trucks these days you cant carry anything inside the cab eg. chainsaws, fuel, tools
