Help with cruiser hand brake

Re: Help with cruiser hand brake
Have you adjusted it inside the drum? Is it leaking oil out of the rear gearbox seal into the drum?
Didn't barbie drive a jeep??
Re: Help with cruiser hand brake
yup i hatve ajusted but it wont turn any futher and theres no oil i can see leaking
Re: Help with cruiser hand brake
Anyone else could help???
Re: Help with cruiser hand brake
how much 'meat' do you have left on the shoes? How worn is the inside of the drum? too much wear may be an issue.
Loosening off the cable at the brake lever, then adjusting up the shoes then re adjusting the cable up at the lever may work, the cable needs to be loose to allow you to adjust the shoes up properly.

Re: Help with cruiser hand brake
Havnt looked in the drum but everything is tighten up to the max so must be worn out shoes? where could i get some?
Re: Help with cruiser hand brake
I'd be pulling it apart and confirming you need new shoes first. But Repco, Toyota, Supercheap perhaps if you feel rich. Or NZ Brake Co for a good price
