Help with cruiser hand brake

Hi there i got a bj40 it has the handbrake on the drive shaft, im getting the truck ready for a wof but the hand brake has no more adjustment on the leaver or down below by the drive shaft is the pads or somthing i need to replace to get it all working again?

Have you adjusted it inside the drum? Is it leaking oil out of the rear gearbox seal into the drum?
Didn't barbie drive a jeep??

yup i hatve ajusted but it wont turn any futher and theres no oil i can see leaking

how much 'meat' do you have left on the shoes? How worn is the inside of the drum? too much wear may be an issue.
Loosening off the cable at the brake lever, then adjusting up the shoes then re adjusting the cable up at the lever may work, the cable needs to be loose to allow you to adjust the shoes up properly.

Havnt looked in the drum but everything is tighten up to the max so must be worn out shoes? where could i get some?

I'd be pulling it apart and confirming you need new shoes first. But Repco, Toyota, Supercheap perhaps if you feel rich. Or NZ Brake Co for a good price
