landcruiser glow plugs

Post by land bruiser »

Ive just put new glow plugs in my 60 series 2H diesel cruiser. But I think there the wrong ones its 24 volt and the new plugs are 20.5v. Its not starting very good. I took a look at the old plugs and they have 14volt written on them so I take it I have the wrong plugs in it now

Sounds like you got the wrong ones there.
They should be 14v.

Where did you get them from? A while back I found the cheapest were genuine Toyota ones.. But then that was for a 12v B motor...

the difference between a 14v and a 20.5v plug is how long it takes to get hot.
The 14v plugs will heat in 4-5 seconds the 20.5v ones will take 11-12 seconds.
Both plugs are common to those engines easy mistake to make without a sample plug. I wont sell glow plugs to people without seeing one of their old plugs.
