Removed the front seats out of the Lux and tightened up the loose bolts that were letting the backs move around and repaired the seat position slide mechanism, removed rear door cards and got the central locking freed up. Must be worth heaps more now

Having not really done anything on my own Zuk for a while I spent the avo finishing stripping the chassis off. Old one is now out side and new LWB chassis is now in the shed, upside down
but in the shed.
More work on Darinz new Nissan tomorrow, Taupo 1000 is coming fast.
Oh get my new dimple dies tomorrow, think the mate that made them has a few extra sets to, if anyone wants some.

Re: 29th - 30th
Went to start the terrano to do some firewood, wouldnt start.
Quick though was to bang starter, which was the problem.
Major problem is that i had to do that every time i turned the key....
Also got to drive a david brown 950, about a 50's tractor to move a log, so much fun starting up a old tractor thats been sitting for a few years. went well after it started, apart from the sparks out the exhaust......

Re: 29th - 30th
Finally got the shita out of the shed. Took it to work with the aim of changing ova the steering box and a whole list of other things. Then got called out to a Scania set up for water cutting that had flat bats on its pump motor, that wasted about two hours. Spent the rest of the day wrestling the steering box out of the lada. Really hope I Neva have to do that in the bush...ever...
.I did read somewhere on here it was a mission, can safely say now I believe it.

Re: 29th - 30th
Picked up a 20L of 15-40 for the terrano/bighorn for $104 from repco,
Seems like a good buy considering a 10L is usually about $95.
Also got some brake fluid and some rain-ex anti fog aswell, works bloody wonders.
Also fixed aircon unit, blown fuse aswell as another which i still cant figure out what it was too. (the glory of owning a jap import)

Re: 29th - 30th
how does the break fluid work?
you apply liberally until it breaks? or just smear it on?

Re: 29th - 30th
Replaced the Swaybar link and D bushes with OEM rubber ones (corners a fair bit better now). Cleaned up the links and changed the engine oil while I was at it.
Ordered a 3" Exhaust and the last few bits for my Front Axle rebuild including the later 80 series CV's and flanges.
Tested out the rear cargo Mudgrabba mat by taking the dogs out in it, carpet stayed clean but everything else still filthy.

Friday night, replaced broken spring,

Drove up the back of possum palace, forgot diff lock, switched it on and speared off the track to rest drivers door on a tree
Now it matchs the passengers one
Going for the "hourglass" look
All going well until Sunday lunch time, when on a steep climb got a little air time with turbo fully spooled, and broke the shaft when it came down
Anyone know of any standard TD27 turbos, going cheap? That was my last one
Need to find one in next week or so.
Cheers,
