Mopar FM in your diff

Post by Bubba »

Well... I have been reading more and now I want to add some Mopar FM to the front diff so it dosen't grab so bad in parking buildings etc.

BNT said that have some other brand FM buts it's not Mopar... but it is recommended for jeeps (on the packet :? ) I can't be arsed getting a $16 tube shipped, unless I have to.

Do you think it would be ok? Who sells Mopar products in Wgtn?

As is often the way, now that I have asked the question, I have found the answer. I just went to Armstrong Prestige, $29 + GST

$16+GST for the non Mopar stuff

For diffs I have been using Penrite Pro Gear 80W-140 in both the Jeeps. It has given me no grief without adding Mopar friction modifier. I believe it already has adequate friction modification qualities. You can change the diff oil and see if that helps and then add the modifier. The problem with too much modifier is that the LSD never engages due to too much slip!
