That was after james (MrO) took the worst driving lines in the world, took out a 44 Gal drum to the left (no sorry right) of this picture, bounced in the air in a uncontroled manner and fell in the hole you now see him in. Good entertainment doh.

Won't mention how I very nearly rolled two times. Very good lessons on what not to do. 1 is stalling while reversing back down a hill climb, and clutching it to restart. I shot backwards. braked hard. braked locked on one side and spun me round side on. Not a nice feeling.

2. was wen coming out of thwe rutts that james feel in I reached for the radio in triumph (hands off the wheel), wheels still spinning, back wheels grip and I shot up the bank. left front tyre mark on the bank was about 5 1/2 feet above the track. I laughed it off (truthfully I crapped myself)

Damage report: Broken exhaust pipe from playing see-saw. I thought it was a damage free shinny trip. I want to make a complaint to managment

Well found out what was wrong with Truckies brakes they were gone so if anyone has seen some disc pads lurking around there mine. Pistons dont last that long when used as brakes

That was an awesome day. First real test of the Whale and I think it went reasonably well. I would like to get some extra height into it as soon as I can afford the time and money though. We dragged our arse around quite a bit... like a cat that can't get rid of a turd! Got away with minimal damage which is always good.

Here is the Google Earth track of where we went.
http://www.presling.com/files/kml/terewhiti-20061126.kmz (small compressed file) or http://www.presling.com/files/kml/terewhiti-20061126.kml (larger file for if the first doesn't work).

If you have Google Earth installed correctly you should be able to just load it by clicking the link. If it doesn't open up automagically, right click the link and select "Save as...", save it to disk and then open it from in GE with "File"->"Open...".

Ignore the big deviation across the centre. We didn't have our teleporter with us, we just lost power to the laptop and the GPS stopped recording. The numbers are just to show the direction of travel.
