WTD TD42 Conrod

Hey guys, hyrdauliced my motor and and no 4 is bent. Just wondering if anyone has any second hand conrods lying round. Thought I'd ask here before I went and got a new one off nissan.

Rods are the same as TD27 motors (Useful Fact)

I'm also in need of a con rod. Does your engine have the 30 or 28 mm little end

Not know yet engines head is of it and haven't pulled it down yet

Well I now know you really want one wax, haven,t heard from other guy yet
Oh remembered from my engine when pulled down non turbo 28mm , turbod 4.2 engines had 30 mm ends

Oh yeah I need one. My bd30 uses the same rods and it spun a bearing and bent the rod
Is the engine you have a n/a or a turbo

Cheers coxsy, mines a na silver top out of a 1988 Safari. If you're motors the same that would be awesome.

Interesting to know about the TD27 imsohi, I've heard something about TD27 pistons increasing the compression if used in the TD42, or it might have been the other way round.

Might pay to try td25 pistons if that what you really want to do. I would rather use a turbo to increase the compression

Bugger about the conrod coxsy, oh well cheers for letting me know. Hopefully someone with one sees this thread.

I am going to turbo it once I put it all back together, will do new bearings and rings thoughout. I've never heard of a td25, what were they out of?

OR if you have so many bits and pieces lying around your workshop that you could sell on here you might be able to put the effort into becoming a vendor to promote your business and/or workshop as well as support this site?
