Picked up a taildoor to replace the rusty and disfunctional one in the terrano, also picked up another caliper to replace worn one.

and the slowest gearbox rebuild in history continues....
its now back in after been put off by heavy rain turning the yard into a paddling pool. now to get it running and see if my clutch fix actually works.
putting the box in on your own is really slow going but the tie down method does work.

Re: 13-14 July
lost a few horsepower this morning
.....yep removed most of the stickers off my rear windows
was looking a bit too boy racerish for my liking, shouldn't affect the neck snapping performance of my non turbo auto td42 too much, now to figure out how to change those things that wipe the rain off the windscreen
might have to get the experts at superchump to do that, as it seems way too technamythalogical for me

Re: 13-14 July
Tried removing my oil filter from the terrano, but what a mission!
Its pushed up against the engine mount by the looks, i can get a filter wrench around the bottom but it wont budge at all.
dont want to rip it out just in case i cant get the other one back in.
Also just went to work to wash out a truck but hose is frozen solid.

Got my rocker gear back together last weekend on the Saf and got a warrant yesterday. "Back on the road again"
Re: 13-14 July
Replaced the LHF ball joints on the Jeep. RH side was done last Sunday. Took 4 hours start to finish last Sunday as I hadn't done it before. Managed to do the left side in 3 hours. Not too bad a job. Went down and filled up with petrol, $2.199 per litre, that's .20c more expensive than last fill! Grrr. Jeep likes to drink too!

Re: 13-14 July
Wow, i think this is the 1st weekend I've achieved something since I started my new job
Divorced the front axle from my trailer, test fitted new brake hubs and calipers, now to chop off the old caliper mounts and weld the new ones on. Still to do fit the new coupling and plumb the lines. Then I will finally have a functioning trailer and can take the bush truck out. (Havn't been keen enough to tow it without brakes on the trailer

Went for a test play up Worsleys with a mate in his 80 series and "hosehustler" in the insane Hilux, did as well as could be expected without any breakages so all set for reefton next weekend.
Didnt need a tow or snatch at any stage so im pretty pleased I know my limits well enough to avoid much trouble in reefton
Untill as we were leaving I decided to end the day by being a twat

was disapointed to see the idiot in the green hilux let his female passanger throw rocks at one of the seals.

Went to Woodhill on Sat, had some fun on some small climbs, nothing too serious. Pulled out a supercharged H2 Hummer twice with the Zook, made for some good viewing.
