Where are people buying castor correction bushes from?

Post by You Get That »

As title states my prado needs the castor corrected and I'm too afraid to remount the front bush hole lower like a lot do so only other option is bushes.

some cheap ones on trade me 130$ ish but that's from aussie (wouldn't mind em before the weekend) and 4wd bits has em for about 300$
Where else to get some?

If you are in a hurry ring Warren (at 4wdbits) and explain that you are looking at getting some form Aussie and tell him the price, but be straight up and say you want them for the weekend. He may be able to improve is price a little and he may not.
Also remember that freight out of Aussie is expensive (more so than the states it seems) and Warren is stocking them in NZ and provides local backup/service, so expect to pay a little more.

Also why are you afraid to reposition the holes? If you are not comfortable to do it yourself is paying someone to do it an option? I have never used caster bushes but moving the hole would seem to be a better solution.

I'm also in for new bushes soon, interesting to see what the other options are.
For the price of a set of caster correction bushes I think getting the front hole moved would be a cheaper option in the long run.
Anyone got info on moving the front holes? Is there a set measurement to drop the front hole?

On my Playdoh with about a 3 inch lift I dropped it 15mm from memory or was it half a hole. Something like that.
But it was hit and miss.
Plan to do it better with an angle gauge etc etc when the truck is rebuilt.
