Correct, you will need a gas axe to get it out.

Easy as to do, drill a hole in the tank to get yourself started, then just lay into it with the aforementioned tool.

thanks pete I found it and give it crc I think last owner drowed this truck
what would a used computer control untit for the outo cost are they all the same

If you are still having issues getting stuck in first you need to replace the rear speed sensor on the trans. It sits on top of the housing between the transfer case and trans you will need to drop the back of the trans to see it/remove it. Cut it out of the loom and solder another one in (get a 2nd hand one from a trans shop). I have replaced ALOT of these at work for this problem.
