That's what he is saying the way I read it however the rules state otherwise.
"If blocks are used in leaf springs to adjust their ride height they must be securely fitted, have the same or more seating area than the original fitment, be no more than 50 mm high, be made of metal, and be designed for the purpose;"

Somewhat misleading to say the least. This kit 50 mm high on the rear wont by itself require a cert, but the lift must be the same front and rear and lifting the front would require a cert unless the vehicle has leaf springs at the front as well and is soa from factory.

Re: Trademe auctions (interesting TM auctions)
That is really misleading in the questions he does say 50mm doesn't need a cert but he doesn't know about 3 or 4 inch.
confusing because sj's are spring under so these won't even work, i can see people buying them without checking and realiseing they can insted lower there truck by 50mm haha.
Also says he has kits for swifts??

That vehicle was at Speedshow last weekend but with different rear frame on load bed, different rims. Looked real nice with its "Stealth Fighter" rear bar work and wheel carrier and General Grabber tyres.
Note that the price doesn't actually include all the front and rear bar work either.

I don't remember the old joker's name but the old owner of this lived in newlands, wellington, and was into his off road racing. had a camper or something and was an avid taupo 1000 spectator.
cool landcruiser, too. I recall him telling me he'd taken it to oz for a couple of trips, then back home again
