After owning my Ford Courier for about 6 months (newbie to 4WD's), my next WOF in November will require a set of new shoes. I'm aware that I'll be spending upwards of $1000 for a set of 4.
I was considering M/T tyres however I don't do enough 4WD in the middle of winter, (where there is no shortage of mud anywhere for hunting).
So I'm deciding to fit a set of more appropriate A/T tyres.
The main tyres that are catching my eyes are the Kumho KL78's

However I'd appreciate your opinions
All terrains (A/T)
Re: All terrains (A/T)
these seem to be the only tyres that last on my mrs racing rav4.
have them on a couple of work utes/4x4s and they are lasting well.

I used to run savero at's on my terrano, they were brought new when my mother brought the vehicle 5 years prior to me buying it off her, and when i took the savero's of they are still warrentable and that was only about2 years ago.
Theyre also pretty decent offroad, didnt get stuck many places.

I have had a really good run out of Savero AT Plus. Wear well I was changing them out after 60,000km and they were still more than warrantble. Found they worked better than any other AT tyre I have run off road

bfgoodrich are hard to beat. Expensive but they do the ks. they are also pretty aggressive for an all terrain and have a little bit of sidewall tread. My old man has had 3 sets on different prados over the years and has got between 95 and 105ks out of them.
Re: All terrains (A/T)
I've got Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor's on my daily driver, havnt had it long but they are quiet, handle well on road and have been on there 2+ years (I checked the previous owners trademe history and found when he brought them
), can't comment on off road ability thats what the mud truck is for. Again on the expensive side but I think 4WDBits has them on special at the moment.

Yeah i agree
Do lots of ks on my daily
Second set 2 years ago and over 10mm tread left
Worth extra money and not bad in mud for at,awesum in sand, gravel and tarmac

X3 BFGs. I have gone through a set of ATs and old style Muds. They both did well over 80k kms each. I am running new style Muds on mine and BFG Rugged Terrains on my other Jeep, they are both very well behaved tyres. For the life you get out of them, they are not pricey.

Reviving and old thread but I ended up getting a set of 31" Kumho KL78's. So far after about 20,000km they seem to be lasting well. They handle extremely well on and off road and are QUIET!
Will post how many kms i got out of them when they won't be warrentable
