Fitting a second hand warn XD9000i tonight. Won't get finished as a bumper will need to be made too.

nice winch be interesting to see what fabricated bumper you design around it, i just bought one of these for my L200, as to get it here repco wanted to charge me 350-400 so i found it on ebay, hasn't turned up yet but will post results of fuel economy etc as my truck gets around 540km to a tank loaded with tools.

Re: L200 mods?
also looking at rebuilding my turbo till i found out its just a 10T and my brother pajero has a 12T so its bigger! now looking out for a pajero turbo to bolt up to mine but having a hard time finding one that has water cooling, as my 10T has water cooling and brothers 12t pajero turbo does not. other alternative is buy a new Cartridge and get my turbo housing milled out to suit. also the pajero's exhaust manifold and turbo manifold are 5 bolt vs 3 bolt l200, the 5 bolt are a bit bigger and better designed
Re: L200 mods?
I managed to get the original bumper back on with a bit cut out. there are pictures in my other thread here.http://www.offroadexpress.co.nz/Forums/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=35141
performance is OK on mine, better than I expected for an old snot! maybe it's running too much boost but I haven't checked.
I was considering fitting an intercooler but the winch kind of gets in the way now.

Re: L200 mods?
I have got a spare legacy watercooled top mount and was thinking of using that but it has it's own radiator.

Gidday, Wildplumx, you would be better off getting a 15t turbo off ebay .It lifts torque 50% from a 10t.I got a price from a local guy to do that with me supplying housings for him to machine out and it was too dear, was cheaper from kinugawa on ebay and they have all the different configerations.Your right about 5 bolt housings makes a huge difference to 3 bolt.I also got a 5 bolt flange from them to make a 3 in dump.

yeah i looked in the Kinugawa turbos but i ended up getting in a new turbo from ali express just the cartridge. i haven't installed it yet and after you said 50% increase in torque..... maybe i'll sell the Chinese turb and bite the bullet! are you running the kinugawa yourself mate ?
Re: L200 mods?
Hi all, just signed up to this forum and also own an L200 and looking to do a few mods. Has anyone done a diff (or diff head) swap to get more top end speed ? I spent the weekends off road but do a lot of open road driving during the week, with my standard 4.625 diff ratios im pulling 3000rpm at 100km/h and want to drop this down a bit. Anyonw know if the later model L200/Triton/Pajero diffs heads fit ? After around a 3.9 ratio.

Yeah but my point was you can't just stick a different ratio in the back without changing the front as well so you need a pair of diffs the same ratio.
