kzn130 knock

Post by dutchy »

Hi guys,

Done a couple searches but didnt find much related to my prob.

I have a knock on the front right, happens when ever i go over a bump. 50km/h in the dry seems to be the optimum.
i have replaced the bottom ball joint on both sides as they were worn and also replaced the disc rotors (pulled entire hub assembly apart)
Neither front wheels have any movement in them.

any ideas?

swaybar bushes and links all good? bit of movement might create a knocking noise.

did a couple searches, a lot of info but nothing that directly relates to my issue. but if anyone finds something please let me know. will create account and post after more searches, if the kiwi gurus cant pick it. (im sure you guys have it in you!)

I know my rear swaybar is missing a bracket (in process of replacing it) but that shouldn't sound like it is coming from the front? (it has a separate noise while flexing.... doesn't take much)

did you find the knock? another silly thing to look at is if bumper is rubbing on front guard. found this on my old kzn130 after changing my bumper.
