Hey all

Wanting the rubber boot that goes over the high-low selector to seal out water from entering the passenger compartment :lol:

I made my replacement one using some marine grade vinyl from a upholsterer. These rubber boots are a weak unit and all the 2nd hand ones I found were split too.
I cut the vinyl into a cone shape so the bottom (wider end) would fan out under the base of the selector lever and the top was a snug fit against the selector shaft.
The seam was glued together with ados f2 and stitched on her indoors machine.
I siliconed the bottom section to the floor before screwing the clamp back in place and siliconed around the lever shaft, then applied a cable tie to secure it.
The vinyl was turned inside out so the backing is on the outside.
This mod has been in use for over 6 years now and is showing no signs of deterioration.
