Picked up surf front doors for the double cab last night (so I'll have front electric windows and mirrors), a pair of rear doors (mine are farked) some tail lights for my wellside and picked the wellside up from a mates place. Today I bought a tough deck from firestonecruiser and have also bought a chrome hilux rollbar.

Hoping to get the tough deck mounted into the wellside and the bottom of it painted so I can install the deck this Friday night. Just need to get my hands on some roughly 3 inch exhaust tubing so I can build my snorkel, anyone know of anywhere in Ashburton or chch area that would have some offcuts?

Cheers

So after something like a year got around to putting replacement motor in seeing as i have a barn to work in now, took a couple of days, had to do everything on me own, even tow it into the barn and then nudge it from the back because nissains are that heavy! got it started but dont think the fuel is going through lines to the carb so guess gota suck it through, isnt as tidy as when i got it but hoping to sell it after i get it all going etc if anyone is wanting something like this

go in and see the boys at dart engineering in the industrial area. they can bend up 3 inch exhaust but it has to be 2mm wall thickness. there prices are pretty cheap.

cheers jono. hope u enjoy the tuff deck

Washed and polished the 40. Fixed the broken flair, flushed the coolant system and washed the safari.

Made a skid plate to protect the sump - originally had a crappy plastic style cover.

Got a 1/4 sheet of 3mm and made a template and cut it all out. Got the local engineering place to put a couple of folds in it for me.

Also had a few liquors and watched the Warriors and the Chiefs. Go Hamilton!

spent 2 and a half hours helping a mate replace the back diff out of his datsun after he blew it up. was a good effort considering neither of us had done anything like this before.

Installed a spartan locker in my open diff, and made a holder to make it working on them so much easier.

Now to find the time to install it.
