Not another Terrano??

Post by terrano »

Yes thats right another terrano in the works

I thought i would start up a proper project thread for my terrano. Current list of mods are pretty simple, 2" lift kit and 32x11.5 tyres of some 3 piece alloys. Which is how i bought it, have just recently installed a rebuilt second hand box.
Bits ordered are snorkel and 2" body lift kit which should hopefully arrive next week, new tyres are coming soon, and installing some rated hooks front and rear will hopefully get done this week as well.

Welcome to our world.
I will be interested to hear how she goes with the 2" B/L and 32" tyres for rubbing.
Ok people, move along. Nothing to see here. Thank you, move along.

Yes welcome to the world of a Terrano owner. Amusing and entertaining at times. A good laugh.

Depending on your rim offset and tyre brand, those 32x11.5's will be fine.
I run the Maxxis Bighorn MT762 32 x 11.5 x 15 on -12.5 offset rims. 2inch body and 2inch suspension lift with no guard rub at all. They do rub on the chassis rail very slightly on full lock, but just adjust the stops.

With this size tyre they put a great deal of pressure on the standard steering setup. Make sure you look into strengthening the steering as well.

Otherwise, you'll have years of fun. Enjoy.

Shape reminds me of the old pathfinders. Lots of tech on here for them too (seems like every second wagon is a terrano  ), others will be along to fill you in on the other Nissan forums to suit etc.

Yeah the rubbing isnt too bad just touches the rear of the front guards when turning on a bit of flex. But in saying that the tread is getting pretty low on the tyres so with new tyres the body lift should definitely be worth while.
