4wd clubs in and around Christchurch

So i am looking at joining a 4wd club, the ones i have herd of are the land rover club and the christchurch 4wd club, both seem to be pritty active clubs. Is any one on here a member of either of these?
Are they a decent bunch of people, type of trips they go on and how often? Or could some one offer another club they think is worth while joining?

The next meeting will be held this Wednesday 7th August at 7:30pm at the Papanui RSA, 55 Bellvue Avenue, Papanui if you want to come for a looksee. It is the AGM but this is followed by a general meeting afterwards.

If you plan on running tyres larger than 33" this isnt the club for you.Max allowed tyre size is 33 or metric equivilant.
