What would a 194-95 Disco 3.9 LPG set up cost with out the tank and pipes? I can get a unit out of a running Disco in Aus but obviously dont want the tank and old pipes shipped over so just the engine bay bits.
I got 94 Disco for $300 which was rear ended and am going to Bobtail it, gut it and make a closed in off roader as i already have 40 Series beast with a 350 Chevy.
Or if its cheap enough I might just on sell it and run the standard FI 3.9.V8 Dont know yet, no real advantage of going LPG on a pure off roader if its already injected i suppose.
Just thinking out loud I suppose...........

Re: Disco 3.9 LPG unit.
Stick with fi as you have the bitch of having drive to lpg station and tank testing , now $160 plus cert costs etc . Lpg is great if doing big miles but since it going to be a death truck why bother . I am after a 3.9 motor if selling.
Re: Disco 3.9 LPG unit.
Imo lpg sweet off roading .clean and green.if bob tailing your truck the petrol tank wont fit.have bobtailed one of my trucks and had to put new fuel tank behind rear seats. imo you could run efi on lpg with 45kg cylinders .carry 9kg bbq cylinder if you run out of gas .thats if you trucks just built as bush basher .always good to have bbq when out 4x4n

Good points...the Disco may be a nartual BBQ one day any haha. Well thats right, its only a bush truck so the LPG will not really benifet.
I will let you now about a 3.9 motor, got a few buddies with too many Disco lying around..............
