Hi all, I'm in a total hum and har over what I should be purchasing.
I'm really interested in the SWB Auto Pajeros, but really confused on what I should be looking out for in the models. Whats the difference in Petrol or Diesel in these models..? Yes Fuel types, but Im guessing both models have their pro's and con's? I've noticed the 3.5L V6 with around 140kks sell for around 5k at the moment.. why so cheap?
Thanks,
Brad

Yea tht 3.5 v6 is a beast, i have seen a couple offroad, quite capable, downside might be fuel consumption, you do get one of the strongest IFS around

Yeah? Im looking for something semi-tidy as it will be used for around town also and as my vehicle to work.

I've got a 3.0v6 and it costs a few bob to run in gas, but isn't too bad. get around 10k/litre. Similar to any large petrol 4x4.
3.5s have a factory bodylift (as do 2.8 diesels) so you can run 33inch tyres without mods. 31s fit the 3.0s no sweat.
they're a fair price. not necessarily cheap. it's more a point of the toyotas etc being grossly overpriced.
you'll pick up a lowish km pajero for $4-5k, the equivalent toyota which is probably weaker/less awesome and has another 100-200 thousand km on it will be $10k+

MY mechanic has a V6 and it goes bloody well. I suspect he will be selling it soon as he has done his shoulder in and it is a manual
.
Great machines from what I have seen of his for sure.

I owned a 3.0 v6, kaned the arse off, it was originally a soft top model so came standard with a rear locker. Broke 1 cv in 3 years of club champs. 33" mudzillas and loved them..

What would I be looking at for a set of MT 33s?
