FS: Stihl 010AV Chainsaw

Didn't really know where to put this, but as it's a tool......

Got 1 too many chainsaws and this wee beauty isn't getting used.
Plus I've pruned everything round here down to ground level. lol
Its got a huge 37cm3 engine and a 14" bar.
Great saw for having in the truck when going on those 4wd trips, just in case.
Nice and small/compact but very usable.
Plus, it's the only brand of saw to get.



Going to help fund a new E-CAT safe to keep my other toys locked away.

How old is that saw roughly?
Does it start easily?
Does the chain brake work as designed?
Am very interested.

It's a pre chain brake model. (AVQ model had the brake)
Dunno how old exactly, but I suspect mid to late '80s.
My other saw is a 034AV that has the later colours of orange/white with black handles and I got that in the early '90s.
Starts well. Haven't really used it much at all since getting it. Only used for pruning and some pallets at work.

It's approx 700mm tip of bar cover to tip of handle.

There are smaller bars available though, if you want to make it smaller.
With a 12" bar it would be a real little ripper.
