3ltr v6 fuel consumption

Post by J_Dub »

have searched the past 10 pages of the mitsi forum + google with no luck

I just want figures from the horses mouth.

how many ks per tank are you getting from a manual v6 3 ltr pajero, 2nd gen, mid 90s swb?

im thinking a buying 1 as a new work hack + toy, have worked out it is no cheaper owning the Terrano diesel so I wana get back into the petrols and the strong ifs Pajs appeal to me.

from a bit of research they seem to be getting fair milage compared to other petrol 4wds.

I get about 400 k's to 55 litres. Mine is heavy with sidebars, bullbar, winch and rear shelves with recovery gear.

Still a little bit left. Takes 60 litres I think. Just usually takes 55 ltrs to fill it up. The fuel light isn't usually on.

My truck averages 14 l per 100 on a trip pushing it along on 32" Mud tyres, if you drive at 90kph the economy improves dramatically. Stop start driving is another story though :) I only use 95 octane or 98 when I can get it

I don't drive for economy and I get between 400 and 500k per tank. has got better with removing shitty ralliart bulbar.
Mine runs a little rich too - think it needs a new oxy sensor and catylic converter is starting to poo out as the light comes on now and then
