had a good day.removed all the ifs shit off chassis.shit i love plasma cutters.ha used a grand total of two 115mm cut off discs and half a grinding wheel.
aafter plasma beem though
Image

then with the help of these Image

then ended up with this Image

Image

then sat diff under Image
Image

set diff angle the same as oldmans gq, bit of a gap between chassis and radius rod.thinking will slot holes on diff to rotate arms around to a bit closer to chassis.Image

excuse the rotated pics.i rotated them all uploaded to photobucket which then rotated them back,so i re-rotated now I cant be fucked doing it a 3rd time...

yea, should get a bit done on it next weeek without this having to work busness.haha
. but yes chassis rail pretty much the right width at the rear, mount centres will pretty mucch be inline with edge of chassis rail i think..spring hats will need to move in about 50mm each side, but thats no major!

so my chinese welder shit the bed the other day, so oldman and i solved that problem Image a dirty old 3 phase miller..welds alot better too...

broughtfront pahard for a dollar...
front ends pretty much all in

Image
tied the pahnard rod into a plate which also spacers steering box out so box clears alternator, so steering box is effectivly mounted on 16mm thick plate with crush tubes through to other side.dont think it will fall off...
Image

clearance between alt and steering Image

and shit I cant get photos to rotate the right way...

Shit that's looking good.
With your turbos down there it's going to be a plumbers nightmare of intake and boost/intercooler piping

Just a question I've always wondered. When you guys on here have done SAS conversions how do workout where to attach the spring mounts to chassis height wise?

yea plumbing could be a spider web,was seriously considering a single this morning...
and the spring hight ,well you'll get a laugh out of how i did it.

.I know my weight, and balanced on the spring and worked out how far down it went, then took a guess at what the truck would weigh and did some rough calculations then stuck it there and saw what happened.lol time will tell if they will be right by the time i get a winch and bar work onit...

got bumpstops and front shocks in.(front shocks are probably to long, but i squeezed them in...) and relocated spring mounts on diff. need to trim/weld/grind/paint a few bits to finish off.waiting to find a lsd to put in my 4.6 diff head beforee I pull diff out to weld up.

choice build bro

are you going to intercool??
and if so are you going for top mount or front?
ive been wondering about slaping a couply turbos on the side of my 350 but I have no room for an intercooler really so I was wondering about the added heat to the engine?

just wondering if you thort about this yet..
awesome build tho some pretty good home fab work there, good on ya

cheers dude, yea going to intercool it deffinatly. not sure which way ill go,have a water to air sitting around that i may use or front mount. w2a is similar to this one http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-par ... 883604.htm
all depends on clearance, as i want to run the 1uz hydraulic fan, but its quite fat.

if you dont have much room could always look at water/methanol injection.also depends how much boost you want to run too.

Looking good man.

Can you modify the booster by putting a relief in it?

quick question. what are you planing to use to run the auto as the g4 wont run it? or are you gonna just run it in "manual" mode?
Current 4wd: Surf Kzn185 ssrg factory Intercooled (yet to start build)
Past 4wd: toyota surf ln130, coil sas, 1uz v8 build

was going to run g4 as a 'piggy back' originally, but since haveing driven for a auto for a while. Ive decided to hook it up as a manual shift, with something like a raddesigns shifter.but ill prob make my own.
