LED Lightbars

Post by uptomynutsinruts »

Right everybody,

who knows of a good value lightbar, I'm looking at one of these http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =630045120 but just wondering if it would put out a good amount of light or not, and if not, does anybody know of any light bars or light setups of a reasonable price that will light up the night?

Cheers

hey mate.
From what iv seen/heard its one of those 'you get what you pay for kind of deals'.

Might pay to check out Caleb at Filthy4x4 (hes a vendor on here) as from what iv seen hes got the brightest light bars on the market. They all come with his branding on them as well so they arent just cheap knock offs. He'd probably be able to do you a good deal on one.

Iv seen a few in action and they are very impressive. I bought a couple 2" ones as reverse lights a couple weeks ago for my safari and Ill be back for more and a big one once i finish my project truck.

Cheers

I recently put a set of four of these up on the light bar on my truck:

http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-par ... 048427.htm

They are AWESOME!!!!

Stainless bolts, Alloy housings and good service from the seller :D

So bought two more and put them on the rear and piggy backed the reverse light circuit :D

Hey guys,

Cheers for your input.
I think I'll get one of the ones I posted a link to as I can't afford 800 for the equivalent one from Caleb and would feel bad asking him to drop his price as I can't get anywhere near 800. If it turns out to be shit then it will become my deck light/camp light for when I buy my rooftop tent for me and the fiancée 8)

Cheers all,
still interested to see what everyone has to say on the subject

Hey all,

So in anticipation of my lightbar arrival, I am trying to find a good place to get cheap 12v switches. I want a 3 way switch (on high beam, off, on) So it can be independently switched for lighting a specific area.

Does anybody know of a good place to get cheap 12v switches from?

Cheers

Just as a suggestion, you can buy lightbars at wholesale prices from DHgate. Pretty much what every seller on trademe does, buy one for wholesale and double the prices!

Some sellers do, although others like Filthy4x4 go direct to manufactures and get the best quality and highest lumen output bars available and then put their brand on them. Meaning when they offer a warranty you can go direct to a NZ company who stand by their own product rather then an individual selling someone elses bars on trade me.

Just received my lightbar and I must say a big BIG thanks to Caleb from filthy4x4, Mate it looks awesome, cheers for the beanie and sticker too, gonna be putting it on tonight. I would much rather pay sighty more and support the ORE Community, plus its awesome quality and he does a good deal, and is easy to deal with and a week turn around to get it way out here to Ashburton, I would definitely recommend Caleb and his business and will be back for sure, Cheers mate
