I see a few Aussies in here, with Terranos. Who do you guys get your insurance through? Had any issues?
The local NT outfit says, Hmmmm that isn't list we can't insure it.
Other place says, oh.... an "import", then sigh
Other place says It's not on our list, but if you get a valuation from a valuer, we can go from there.
Surely the days of protecting the local market have passed, considering nearly ALL cars are imported now.

Yet to get to that (insurance) just brought terrano wd21 Rm3 2.7 T new to 4x4 and diesels going through it finding what it's got, thought it was standard but so far it has a KN24 front diff free running hub front, rear
diff J6 zb57.Got set of new shocks Ultima big bore good price.rear bushs good just need sway bar bushes. Gone through underneath clean up resealed for beach. Front will do bushes, ball joints, CV's and steering so tie rods, idler,but seen on site go to 2wd Navara link bar improves it, whats needed as type of tie rods ect. With KN24 diff at front will CV's stay standard it's a new learning curve of me and Hi to every one

insurance wise yeah imports are major hassle and all insurance over there is expensive. i see a lot of it with the surf guys.
they are still into industry protection and have a real chip on their shoulder about imports. a part can have the same part number as local version but if you mention its for an import, the price doubles. so it pays to find a non-import that uses the same parts.
