Hi guys, am considering picking up a deregoed, unwofable 4x4 project. It would take up to a year to sort it.
I couldn't find anything on the transport website and have never bought a unregistered before. Is there a change of ownership form for deregistered vehicles? Whats the process or legal obligation?

I bought a deregistered motorbike once.
I got the vendor (old family friend) to sign a receipt.
To reregister the bike I had to get a form from the police stating the bike with the chassis number etc was not stolen.
Unless your buying from someone you know you may want to check it out before you part with your cash.
