WTB ln106 - Any region

Post by boltynz »

Hi all

looking for an average for year (early/mid 90s) condition double cab ln106 2.8d, 200-300kms for use as a daily. Mods not essential (must be 4wd).

I have around 6.5k

Am based in Auckland but don't mind flying to nearest centre to pickup.

Cheers all.

Good luck in that price range.
I have a 1989 LN106 single cab, 2.8 diesel, 337,000 km.
AA agreed value insurance is $8,000

mate, those double cab diesel hiluxs hold their price something wicked. You'll need to be patient. Turners auctions may be the best source.
Do you definitely need the ute, as opposed to say, a "ute with a roof" (Surf)? Reason i ask, is that for the same year and mileage, a Surf is much much cheaper than a double cab hilux. Though the surfs don't all come with the bulletproof 2.8 diesel that you want .

If you can stretch your budget a little I have one you may be interested in. '94 (i think.....) nz new with a few things done to it, well looked after mechanically rebuilt this and that. Has a turbo. Body not perfect but not bad either, still cleans up and looks presentable from 15 feet + ha ha. I bought it to use while I fixed my rusty safari and now need to sell, but I want $8k. Let me know if you want the details.
