82 hilux rattle

Have a rattle coming from down under gearbox somewhere in my 1982 hilux . It runs the 2L engine - 2.2L diesel. It only rattles when vehicle is in motion, can become quite loud at times. Any help, assistance or ideas would be much apprectiated .

hi and welcome, what speeds are you doing when you hear it? is it just when accelerating and notthing when coasting?if so it could be the uj's on the drive shaft....

Anywhere between go and 80km. Full time rattle . Winds down, I think , slowly as the truck slows down to a stop.

are the weights still on the drive shaft, as it could be out of balance or dented, if you have been 4wding?

Not one hundred percent sure where or what the weights are but will figure it out and have a look .
