Does anyone have a (pair of) good quality, branded portable 80 Channel UHF for sale? Preferably something 1 watt and above. Would be happy to buy as a pair if you have two for sale assuming the price is right.
Cheers, Karl

Thanks for such a quick reply! Do you reckon those would do the job for the majority of 4WD trips and long distance driving? Been using the little 0.5 watt Unidens until now but am after something with a bit more juicekbushnz wrote:only 0.7 watt..

I have been using some old 0.5w ones... but want some with VOX... They haven't arrived as yet...So cant compare them...
There is a newer set at 199.00 with 1.5W transmit...

Had a look at those, they seem pretty good, might go with the 1.5 watt ones unless someone else has some cheaper second hand radios they want to sell! Not sure about VOX, would mean you can't talk inside the truck unless you want it to transmit to everyone else haha

I have one of these in the truck and 2 H/Hs (already had them)really helps when winching or general recovery to have good clear comms from outside the truck, great range and small enough to fit in almost any little space, recommended.
Really useful to have one H/H in the Landrover your towing home also

Cheers guys, had a look at the fixed CB but am really more after something I can use in my new truck as I will be selling my truck at some stage soon.
That is an absolutely amazing price for a 5 Watt! How well built are they as Zares is a Chinese brand isn't it?

GME do a budget 2w handheld for about $90 from memory TX670. Comes with remote speaker mic and charger. Good battery life due to its auto power save feature.

Yea that was my first choice, but read some reviews of them and the speaker was quite quiet apparently, in any case I have found a decent set of Uniden 1.5Watt ones on Trademe second hand for just over 100 bucks!
Cheers guys for your input
