Hilux surf with safari rear springs?

Post by Camfitz30 »

I'm wanting to lift my surf on a budget and fix the tail sag lol, and I heard that fitting safari springs is like having a 2 inch lift kit? Is that true or is the any other trucks springs will do the same job?

i think 80 series cruiser standard springs lift up the surf's saggy bum. but could imagine it might give it a stiff ride seeing as the cruisers are alot heavier..

80 Series cruiser is what you want. Factory saggy ones will lift your Surf a couple of inches. New standard height 80 series will give you about 4-5" lift. Im assuming yours is a 130 Surf?

Mine is a 130 yes, but it would struggle to run heaps of lift on standard dampeners etc?

Probably will need new shocks. I'd be temped to unbolt the bottom shock mount and see where they sit with the 80 series coils first. You might get away with it but probably not

Would the factory 80 series shocks fit the 130 chassis?

Hi mate I put 80 series springs in the rear of my 130. I have no issues what so ever. Springs dropped straight in.
