new buyer to 4x4 land looking at a terrano

Had a bit of a scroll through these pages trying to find info.

Me question to you is, whats are the better ones to go for, im not looking to go extreme 4x4ing but to be able to go where I cant take my current clammed civic lol. To be able toget out of a sticky situation if it ever arosee, maybe a dash on murawai beach or what ever....

not sure bout petrol or diesel and the 2.7 3l or even 3.2??

as I am new my knowlege is very little so any help or recommendations would be good. Prob be looking between $6-8k. Once I get it id like to eventually put some nice fat shoes on it fo more 'stockier' look
