FOR SALE: 1998 Toyota Hilux D/Cab 2.8D

Post by Wild_South »

Hi there,

After $11000 but will cut a deal for a O.E member. Located in ChCh.

- Complete list of receipts over last few years so you know it has been well maintained
- 332,000kms
- Manual
- New 35" Hankook mud tires worth $2100
- Snorkel
- Chrome Hilux Bar
- Tuffdeck
- 50mm lift
- RAW Shocks
- Black steel rims
- No structural rust which is hard to find in a Hilux!
- Drives great, gets you everywhere

Never had any issues with the engine, just keeps going! A factor in this is that it hasn't been driven much in the last couple of years as too many cars, so it hasn't been bashed around like many other Hilux's for sale out there

Sorry but I can't see anything in that link that tells us the price he bought it for, all it indicates is that the reserve price was more than 10k as the reserve was not met? So it could well have been sold for more than the current asking price?

at "zukmeista " Because of the attached photo of my phones screen.

I am only pissed about it as its not the first time the little scammers done it, he was buying my surf 2 months ago untill I caught him with an advertisement that was a direct copy and past of my trademe listing of my surf but with a much higher asking price.
Needless to say I did not end up selling my truck to him!

Only putting it here as I dont want to see anyone else ripped of, ok fair enough to try and make a profit but not as someone else expense

At the end of the day the last guy couldn't sell it for more than 10. Everything is for sale at the right price. If this guy wants to advertise it for more than what he payed then he is allowed to. If any one will be willing to pay that much will be another story!!!

"How else do you make a profit?"

With a little effort, time and care that the rest of us put into building our trucks before we sell them off for another project.

Mabey at least own it for at least a few months before pawning it off to someone else on a listing while implying that they have owned it for years

Fair enough but someone has to cough up is what I meant.
The lying is not cool I agree.
