Painting Alloy Rims

Anything special you need to do when painting alloys? Was thinking a scuff with sandpaper, a good clean and some satin black.

etch primer for alloy if its raw otherwise your paint won't grab too much
and end up knocking off easily.
problems are only a problem if you not willing to learn how to find solutions

In factory there put a clear coat over them so might not need etch primer ...maybe just a scuff up , depends how rough they are.

They are in pretty good nick so might just sand, clean and paint.
