Any big gremlins with your Prince of Darkness electrics (Lucas) or engineery type things, hunt out the GT Radials Falcoon (847) team from Shaketown and ask for Garry vdH. Good mate of mine, as is Bryan aka Yoda the driver/owner. Garry runs a performance racecar shop and is pretty damn useful.
They've had their challenges just getting out of Dodge..., that's what you get for driving a Chev, however Garry sorted the dodgy work done recently by some mechanics and they made the ferry by the skinny skin of their teeth!
Still ended up hauling the big Coooon and its even bigger trailer into Taupo via a Safari though...

From what I saw, truck looked mean and was goin well. I was stuck in the pits changing engines and gearboxes on a challenger, one either day so saw sfa of the vehicles even going by

Tuff event . But we did get the finish flag on Sunday . The start was insane .... We hid a drain and stump real hard dead stop from 90 kph on first lap cost us a wheel . Got hit in the rear . And lost it out of control sideways waiting to grip and roll but stayed up right . Lost the clutch on second lap bleed it . Did a 50 min second lap with a clutch bleed . Lost clutch half way round third lap . So that was our first day . Got some clutch bits from Taupo . Started 105 on the grid sun day plan was for nibby and Bok to do five laps and then me and Chriss to bring her home . But not to be the boys end for ended it down but not out winched back on it feed no screen but back in the race
The boys did four laps even managed a 48 min one that included a fuel stop . Wen I jumped in and got going after lunch the rover felt very secondhand . First lap the airflow meter fell off second lap started to get fuel pump problems . Third lap the old girl was starting to get uncontrollable . Hit the bank hard again . Then smashed the front diff and at that stage we only had 1 2 and 3 gear . 46 Km mark we lost third gear . 48 km mark fuel pump stoped . We re rigged our extra fuel tank and fuel transfer pump crossed the finish line at 330 with the flag

Great to meet you guys and share a site. Man you fellas gave that thing a hard time. Haven't worked out where we ended up but we only got 5 laps each day (our best was a 40.25 I did lap 2 Sunday) Shame Darinz exploded a shock canister on lap 5 cause other than our dodgy new shocks truck was awesome.

As for your green machine, it can be rebuilt - see you there in 2 years
