Waipara River (gorge especially) is an area that needs to be driven very carefully. There has been years of issues up there with landowners.
If you do go to the gorge please stay in the river bed & most importantly dont drive into the gorge itself.
Combined Clubs has spent years keeping this area open for 4wders im sure you will treat this area with the respect it deserves.
Its a beautiful place & we all want it to stay this way.

Its an easy drive but beware of soft shingle especially after a fresh has been thru.
