What Pedro said is true too. I built a Jailbar hotrod for a customer last year. The fella added to the job several times. At the start of the job he asked for a "ball park figure". The figure for the original job was $2k (Original job was a 150mm channel and new fire wall and rust repairs to bottom 200mm of cab) after the job was finished it included mount the motor/box into a mitzi l200 chassis, under floor pedals, more rust, mount the cab and sort out the steering. All major fab work and time consuming. The end bill came to $3800 + gst. He paid no problems. Cool. Couple of weeks later he phoned me wanting me to addapt a 5spd supra box to the flathead v8 in the rod. He wanted a "ball park figure" again. No probs. He added to the job. The job came in $120 over budget. He balked big time, refused to pay for the parts I (stupidly) had already let him take away. We lost nearly $500 in parts alone on that job not including 2 days labour!!!!!

Its an interesting game modifing vehicles. Sometimes frustrating, but 99% of the time extremely rewarding.

You need to learn from your mistakes and do the job at least 500% above the customers expectations.

Right thats enough ranting from me fellas.

I read this story and just want to say I was totally sucked in by this character too. Rented a house to him (my only house that had a decent mortgage), he just lied and lied and never paid the rent. He left me broke for the best part of four months ..believed his lies never got a bond yes my fault and I will never make such a mistake or trust people the same since.

He seems really decent and likeable. Do not trust anything and I mean anything he says.

I no he has no job & no Licence at the moment I no as he is living with our Daughter & she has stopped all contact with us & she believes everything he say's we no a lot more people he has ripped off. She has lost a lot of her friends as he is controlling her she is only 18 & unfortunately in love with him.
We are at our wits end & can't do anything. I wish there was away of warning everybody I have never meet anyone that can con ppl like he can.
