Part Suppliers ChCh

Post by 3DrDisco »

I have recently moved to Canterbury from Australia. In Aus I had a couple of Disco's and a 91 200 Tdi Defender Tray back.

I'm driving a company supplied 2003 110 Defender with a 300 Tdi powering it. It's just clicked over 220k and the boss, who has owned since about 90k, can't remember the last time it had a timing belt done on it. So I'm guessing it's past due.

In Aus I used to get parts imported from Paddocks in the UK, but not sure what the import duties are like here? I've tried to do a search on it, but haven't been able to find definitive answers. Is it worth importing parts from the UK? Or is there somewhere local where people source there parts from?
