Post by skidmark »

have got a new radiator for my project and planing(hoping) to keep the 1uz hydraulic fan. But clearances are tight and I dont really want fan to munch on new radiator.... anyone have experiance with them and what would be the minimum gap youd saftley run?
modified surf, hardly drive it seem to keep modifying it....

Send a PM to Madaz. He is Hamilton based ans has experience with them. Usually a pretty helpful guy if you aren't an idiot.

I have mine the same sort of distance as the setup from the original setup, it seems to work, and the blades are about 30mm from the inside between the face of radiator and fins.. hope that made sense.. Otherwise Madaz may chime in.. I'd be interested in this as well seeing as there is discussion about it.. As I've only set mine up as best to factory as I could..

My Soarer fan was about 35mm away from the radiator. Water can still pull the blades in at that distance tho.
