turbo timer

i am trying to install a turbo timer into my toyota surf. i have wired it into the plug coming off the ignition i can get it counting down and running but it wont keep the vechile running am i wiring it in the wrong place of some? if any one knows anything can they please let me know

from memory there are 2 ign signals coming out of the barrel.
Current 4wd: Surf Kzn185 ssrg factory Intercooled (yet to start build)
Past 4wd: toyota surf ln130, coil sas, 1uz v8 build

I do wire it behind the key barrel right?

yeah thats the normal location for wire it in. there are 2 ign circuits from memory. you either have teed into the wrong one or it needs both ign circuits from the key active to keep in running

Hey mate all wired up and working the black wire I thought was earth ended up being the proper ignition wire cheers heaps for your help
