3rd-4th NOV

Post by catalystracing »

OK, ill kick this one off with a weekend of maintenance on the lux.
Tie rod end, lower ball joint pass side, brake disc replacement, new battery terminals, adjust front wheel bearings.

Sounds simple.......yeah right.
The lower ball joint refused to let go, so after all the usual tricks, we resorted to a 4 ton ram and a porter power to load up the the upper and lower A arms and use a heavy sledge hammer :D ...take that you lil *&$^&#(@
So now to simply replace the brake discs ....after freeing a seized piston   the discs went in as per the book 8)

Tomorrow adjust the wheel bearings, should be a piece of cake with no more

Going to feel better than a new one :D :D :D

installed an inverter
DC-DC converter in - installed PRS radio, Sterio, Cig Lighter all 12volts now :)
wired and installed a "work light" on the rear wheel carrier. 27w Cree light from trade me. seems to be well built and puts out heaps of light. Should be awesome at the camp site in a couple weeks.

Just hope the inverter and converter dont drain my batteries......
