Rear track arm failure

Hi Guys,
I have had my rear track arm break off at the bracket connected at the rear diff twice now on my TJ. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Starting to think the pos is not handling the off roading too well! Getting to be a pain in the proverbial.
Replaced all the suspension bushes last week for a WOF and now this again, grrr!

Is that the factory track arm (panhard?) mount? or is it raised to suit a lift or something?
I am no Jeeper but know a guy who gave his TJ some serious shit (std diffs but 35"s and a heavy foot), don't think he ever had this issue. Is it a common problem?

Are you using a bracket for extending the track bar somehow? What lift height? Pinion pointed the right way? When the suspension cycles, that bracket gets under load. Did you replace bushes with rubber or poly? Rubber is much better.

Geez TJ you are onto it aye! Yes the link has been lengthened with the Rancho 2" Suspension lift (with ORV lower control arms) giving more leverage so probably the cause? Will be much beefier now so should be the end of this problem?? Probably break somewhere else next? LOL.
Unfortunately the suspension bushes were urethane as ORV don't do a rubber equivelent. Urethane (poly) bushes don't like dirt or sand at all so rubber would have been better, but you gotta fit what you can get. I did try all the local suppliers for rubber but no luck and didn't want to have the truck off the road while trying to source from o/seas. Ah the joys of Jeep ownership
