Hi I have just brought a 1999 Suzuki Jimny. The engine has died and I need to replace it. Wasn't planning on having to do this so soon, but my current engine is a lost cause.
I am located in Waikanae/Wellington if anyone can help.
Thanks

It will be a lot easier to find a G16B if you don't mind a bit of extra work. Here is a how to guide on the conversion.

Re: Wanted g13b sohc injected
Thanks for the advice/links on this option. I will have a chat with the mechanic about this as the g13b's seem a bit scarce. It's not my daily driver, but it would be great to have it back up and running.
Cheers

Hi Chris,
It got too hot, I think the thermostat failed to open on a trip back from Auckland and the top radiator hose was the point of failure. The head has been removed and the block is warped (Can't remember the mechanics exact words on this, but he inferred that it was not repairable). Was also told that when the head was removed some of the head bolts were a little over finger tight, indicating that there was a problem with the engine already & I had brought a dud.
Still want to get it back on the road though as it ran well for about 5 days before the mishap. Not the most economic purchase though
