my prado

well just got back into the 4x4 thing again
needed a family car that could tow my jetski and light 4x4 fun
so got a 95 prado 3ltr turbo auto for a good price

plans are a 2inch lift snorkel and some 33s
dose anybody off here make the dump pipes off the turbo ?

nathan at kaiapoi repowers does them as well as a bolt on 2 1/2 inch exhaust as well

check your viscous fan still works
change your radiator fluid
if it still has electric hubs pm old blue he does conversions
ecu's on these are known to cause issues, place in nelson fixes them
70 series prado (KZJ78) and 90 Series Prado (KZJ95)

sweet thanks just had a full service radiator coolant all done viscous fan all good came with receipts and info from midas in the naki
I do need to contact old blue for the hubs
but at the moment its my daily driver so cant pull them off to send to him to sort
do u have a contact number the exhaust shop with the dump pipes ?

By the way regarding your great electric hubs
"If it aint broke, don't fix it" comes to mind

I have been running my -71 Prado for 10 years, the truck now having done 270ks with some good off-road trips and lots of work 4x4ing.
Only recently did I go for a set of Old Blue's Mk 2 hubs, these being both manual and electric. Before this I used the factory ones and apart from a little maintenance they worked fine. Only once let me down in the field, and even then I manually engaged it by removing endcap, revolving it and reinstalling it and then carried on.

Enjoy your Prado, they are a great off the shelf 4x4
